A book cover with the book’s name ‘Paper Towns’ on it.

Paper Towns is one of my favorite books by John Green. It was one of the first books i bought and the FIRST one i ever read (so you know there is an emotional connection there). Wait the first one was The Crown by Kiera Cass but that’s a story for another day (maybe the next post).

Paper Towns is a story about a guy named Quentin Jacobson aka Q who loves a girl named Margo Roth Spiegelman and the story on his search of who the REAL Margo is.

This story is a paradox of emotions, sometimes light-hearted and fun and other times dark and mysterious. It is a journey of friendship and laughter, love and heartbreak, and revelation of ones true self.

While reading this book you’ll actually question yourself, whether you truly are who you portray to be or are you pretending to be someone/something you’re not just to fit other people’s idea of you? It is going to be a journey of self realization that might open up new doors of opportunities for you.

A thumb tack I painted on a playing card.

Here are a few quotes from the book that will make you want to put this book in your cart right away.

And in everything that came afterward, I could never stop thinking that maybe she loved mysteries so much that she became one.

This is one of my all time favourite quotes which kind of just stuck with me.

Tonight darling we are going to right a lot of wrongs. And we are going to wrong some rights.

This is a quote that just screams adventure (looking at all my sagittarius readers).

I love driving fast under streetlights.

Don’t we all?

When you say nasty things about people, you should never say the true ones, because you can’t really fully and honestly take those back.

Well, you know a great advise when you see one.

Everything’s uglier up close.

Now this is one of those moments in the book that really makes you reflect upon your thoughts.

The easiest way to solve a mystery is to decide that there is no mystery to solve.

Okay… sounds like something a procrastinator would say (aka me (and obviously you duh)).

Maybe she was weird, or maybe the rest of us were weird.

Maybe all of us are weird. Who defines weird anyway?

Sometimes he’s so retarded that he becomes kind of brilliant.

When someone asks my friends about me.

I don’t know who she is anymore, or who she was but I need to find her.

This is a moment of conflict we all face at least once in our lives.

YOU WILL GO TO THE PAPER TOWNS AND YOU WILL NEVER COME BACK

I love this one too and it is self-explanatory (once you read the book ha!)

Because it’s kind of great, being an idea that everybody likes.

These were a few of my personal favourites which I know most of you will want to use for your Instagram captions.

Give this book a read and i’m sure you will find a lot more beautiful quotes that will stay with you forever!
